Over the years, we’ve found that samples taken from the same vessel and submitted to three different labs didn’t always come up with consistent results. In some instances, the results from two labs were close in the wear metal counts and the other was completely different. That’s why we use reputable laboratories for sampling, including Ring Power, John Deere, and Lubriport.

Oil samples should be taken with hot oil – after the completion of a trial run or sea trial. David Hinkel Inc. only uses reputable laboratories to test perform the test.
